Arlene Kleinsorge recently wrote about her experience with Dr. Wittig and his team. In addition to being a “repeat” patient who was diagnosed five years following her successful first surgery, Arlene recommended Dr. Wittig to her friends. Here’s what she had to say.
“I met Dr. Wittig 10 years ago. I was seeking a third opinion on a diagnosis of a lipoma in my leg. Two other doctors told me that it was harmless and there was no need to remove it. I did some research and found Dr. Wittig. What impressed me at first was his capacity to listen intently to my concerns. He then asked me for permission to examine my leg.
He immediately found the lipoma and discussed the size of it, just from touching it. He recommended removing the growth. The lab results confirmed a low grade liposarcoma.
I was so grateful to Dr. Wittig for his surgical skills and knowledge. I was given a yearly follow up plan for 5 years. At the 5-year point, there was no regrowth. However, 2 years after this surgery, another lipoma in a different area appeared. Dr. Wittig did not hesitate and removed this other growth. It was also a low grade liposarcoma. I also followed up with yearly checkups.
It’s been 5 years again with no regrowth.
The image that stays in my mind about this brilliant doctor is from my very first visit.
He was not dismissive. He was genuine and showed compassion in my situation. His surgical skills are extraordinary. He is a very gifted surgeon.
I have since recommended Dr. Wittig to many of my family, colleagues and friends. All report stellar interactions and results. He has superior intelligence and a high degree of confidence in using his God given talents.
Without hesitation, I received the best care under his medical supervision.”
#teamwittig appreciates the Kind Words of all patients, their family members, of colleagues, residents, interns, med students and others.
“Reenie is a very special person,” Dr. Wittig said. “In addition to being a model patient, she has become a dear friend and extremely valuable supporter of our mission to save limbs and lives, especially those of children as she is a founding member of Pediatric Cancer Foundation of New Jersey. May God continue to bless her, as she blesses us every day.”
